CLOAKS CLASPS
Pennanular Brooch
This is Master Ark's new pennanular design. It is available in cast bronze with a number of popular stones to chose from.
The pennanular brooch was the way to fasten a cloak for over 1000 years
in northern Europe. It spread from its Celtic origins
to be embraced by
the Saxons, Romans,Viking and Scandinavian cultures. This pennanular
is 70mm across with a 37mm center opening.
The overall length of the
pin is 92mm.
To use a pennanular you drop the pin through the slot in
the ring, put it through both layers of your cloak fabric, bring it
back up through the slot,
and then rotate the ring to fasten it.
